The Dachshund

A pet is not on the top of my list for 2013. To be honest – it’s not on my list at all. It never has been, as we live in the city and (at least in my world) animals and cities do not go well together.

However, after surfing the net I know now that I might make an exception … Anne Claire Petit came up with the most beautiful little dog I can possibly think of and I wish I knew how to make one of those.

No Flower Blanket

I started those little squares in 2010 (yes, 2010 …) and maybe I needed a blog to finally confess this will NEVER be a blanket. NEVER. Each flower square measures an inch …

But what am I going to do with them? Greeting cards? A mini scarf? A border of some sort? Or yet a baby blanket with the flowers spread out randomly? What color and how? I don’t know. What would you do? Suggestions are highly appreciated …

A 1,000 Views

A thousand views since early December, that is to say since the Häkelmonster went online and I have to admit: it pleases me. According to WP stats, page view N° 1,000 was hit by Jessica, owner of the German Schoenstricken (“beautiful knitting”) blog. Maybe I should celebrate this first jubilee by crocheting some more tonight :).

Purl Bee’s Best

The Purl Bee posted their Best of 2012 and I can’t help myself from thinking that I NEED MORE TIME to do all the things I really want to do!

As a matter of fact, I really want to finish all those projects laying around here (…), before starting the Rainbow Blanket. Right after that the Penguins will be topping my list – even though I have never sewn before. Let’s hope that in the meantime the Purl Bee does not come up with other wonderful suggestions …

2013

So here we are, it’s 2013, and what can I say? Thank you for visiting the häkelmonster every now and then, thank you for commenting on my posts, for your approval and – probably most important – thank you for welcoming me in the world of crafts and blogs. Your company and support have made this an easy one.

May the New Year be good to you, may all resolutions be kept (…), and may we see or read or write each other soon.

Happy New Year!
